Who goes to a Family Farm School (FFS) has a better vision of the future in the field, says a student.

Diversity is an opportunity to reinvent ourselves and learn from others. But sometimes we can find some difficulties when communicating with a person who is from another country.

This digital story is about the power of communication to overcome discrimination. To give a richer approach to this topic on Human Rights, it is related with the SDGs of the UN, since quality education (SDG 4); reducing inequalities (SDG 10); peace, justice and strong institutions (SDG 16); and partnership for the goals (SDG 17) are required to erase discrimination.

In Cameroon, the Ecoles Familiales Agricoles (EFA) are generally located in densely populated areas where lack of education is very high. Young people wander around the villages at an early age, and few go to school.

This centre has not only helped me get a career but it has also given me work experience to kick-start my (professional) life, a few years later, I returned there to train young people in entrepreneurship and vocational integration.

CAPAM trains farmers so that they are able to carry out profitable agropastoral activities.

CAPAM is an agricultural training centre in the village of Zamakoé, four miles from the city of Mbalmayo in Cameroon. The centre's aim is to promote and encourage a new generation of capable rural entrepreneurs to take up the challenge of second generation farming, with the support of the State of Cameroon.

She is called BibineMboy Bin Seke and she is a 23-year-old young mother of 5 children. One day, Bibine was advised by her cousin to start training at CEFAF and without hesitation, she accepted this preposition. However, the big challenge was that the training lasts 3 years; how would she juggle being a mother with being a student?

Our training center (CEFAF) trains young people in Hotel and catering, Sewing and Hairdressing / Esthetics. We have organized with the support of our supervisors the Open Days to present our various activities to the public.

Given the economic and environmental value of beekeeping, it is right and fitting that we teach the young people and farmers to engage in bee farming or Apiculture. We have faced a good number of challenges to which we have tried to seek out solutions and we have learnt to be gentle and friendly with the bees.
