Diversity is an opportunity to reinvent ourselves and learn from others. But sometimes we can find some difficulties when communicating with a person who is from another country.

When we left for Rwanda, we thought we were bringing something to the inhabitants but we were surprised. It was the Rwandans who brought us a lot! This trip allowed us to "open our eyes".

We are Juliette and Mathilde, pupils of Saint Quirin College in Huy, Belgium. We participated, along with 14 other young people from our school, in a solidarity project in Rwanda during our carnival holidays.

We are back in Belgium after two incredible weeks in Rwanda. We came back changed after this experience, many things have marked us.

Did you know that there will be more plastic than fish in the sea by 2050? I am committed to make a change. We fish for plastic around the world and sometimes collect up to 8 tonnes of marine litter on a journey.
