Surviving through Covid Times in East Cameroon.

This year 2020 is one that has been particularly difficult for the world due to the emergence of the coronavirus pandemic.

A lot of people have lost their jobs. Economic hardship has been the order of the day. And many people have had to resort to other means of livelihood.

My name is Iffia. I am 15 years old and I am a single mother.

 During the covid-19 pandemic, I made use of the sewing skills I learnt during my training at the Alternating Training Centre for Young Women in Bertoua to provide food for my family.

The production of juice made from guinea sorrel

My name is TABADAI JEAN and I am a student at the rural training institute of Maroua.
The activity I will be  presenting to you is the production of juice made from guinea sorrel. For the latter, several materials and ingredients must be provided in advance. Among the materials, we note the basin, the ladle, the pot, and the the sieve the mortar that helps us to crush the cloves and the ginger into powder.

Water for Life

Access to water is a fundamental human need and therefore a basic human right.
During the dry season in Cameroon, the water level goes down and reliable sources of drinking water in communities disappear,
increasing the risk of drinking unsafe water, especially by school children.

In Bankim women and children walk ten miles or more every day to fetch water for domestic use.

Cameroon is a blessed country

Cameroon is a blessed country just like the Promised Land.
There is treasure buried in the soil.
This treasure is its fertility, hard work which can improve the living conditions of those who know how to exploit the gift of nature.
This message goes to all Cameroonians youths to improve their standards of living thorough training.

Model pupil in involving girls in practical activities.

Her name is Kalla Marie Annick, she's 19 years old and comes from Adamaoua in Cameroon.

This young pupil of CEFAPI/IFER of Marza in Ngoundéré, is a model of courage and responsibility for the young girls of the centre, because she has used her family experience in sensitising her classmates about the involvement of girls in practical activities.
